The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre

Respect Starts Here

The brief:

We were honoured to collaborate with the incredible team at The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre (SAFV Centre) on their Respect Starts Here program - an important initiative designed to help community sporting clubs become safer, more respectful, and inclusive environments for everyone.

The SAFV Centre approached us to create a powerful and emotionally resonant piece that could showcase the real-world impact of the Respect Starts Here initiative. The goal was to develop a series that not only raised awareness of gender-based violence but also celebrated the community-led efforts taking place across local clubs to prevent harm and promote respect. At the heart of the project was a desire to amplify authentic voices - those of the coaches, players, administrators, and advocates who are driving meaningful change at the grassroots level.

The outcome:

Through a carefully planned and respectful production process, we worked closely with the SAFV Centre team and local sporting clubs to film on location, capturing honest and moving testimonials from individuals who have been directly involved in the program. From coaches and club leaders to community advocates, each voice contributed to a powerful narrative about cultural change, accountability, and hope.

The final piece is more than just a video - it is a celebration of courage, commitment, and the belief that everyone has a role to play in creating safer spaces.
